Intinews | Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Selatan resmi mengumumkan kenaikan Upah minimum provinsi atau UMP Sumatra Selatan tahun 2023. Upah buruh dipastikan naik sebesar 8,26 persen dari semula Rp3,14 juta menjadi Rp3,4 juta.
Besaran UMP pada 2023 tersebut telah disahkan oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatra Selatan (Pemprov Sumsel) lewat Surat Keputusan Gubernur Sumsel No 877/KPTS/Disnakertrans/2022 tentang UMP Provinsi Sumsel tahun 2023.
“UMP diberlakukan bagi karyawan dengan masa kerja kurang dari satu tahun dan bagi bagi perusahaan yang telah memberlakukan upah minimum lebih tinggi dapat menyesuaikan dengan ketentuan UMP yang telah ditetapkan,” ujar Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi Sumsel, Supriono, dalam keterangannya kepada wartawan di Ruang Rapat Bina Praja Pemprov Sumsel, Senin (28/11/2022).
Sejauh ini, tercatat beberapa kabupaten dan kota yang sudah memiliki UMP di atas UMP Sumsel, yakni Kota Palembang, Banyuasin, Musi Banyuasin (Muba), Musi Rawas (Mura) Ogan Komering Ulu Timur (OKUT), dan Muara Enim.
Supriono mengatakan, kenaikan UMP menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan tingkat inflasi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi dan Pemprov memiliki kewajiban untuk mengumumkannya. Besaran upah minimum ini akan menjadi acuan bagi kabupaten dan kota di Sumsel. (ril)
