Intinews | Gubernur Sumatra Selatan Herman Deru memimpin apel kesiapsiagaan personel dan peralatan penanggulangan Kebakaran Hutan dan Lahan (Karhutla) 2022 dalam rangka penguatan kapasitas kawasan untuk pencegahan karhutla di Halaman Griya Agung, Rabu (22/6/2022).
Dalam upaya pengendalian Karhutla di Sumsel, Herman Deru menegaskan lima poin utama yaitu melakukan sinkronisasi satgas provinsi dan kabupaten/Kota terutama bagi wilayah rawan karhutla, membagi habis tugas pengendalian karhutla dengan melibatkan semua stakeholder yang ada di provinsi, kabupaten/kota, memberikan sanksi tegas pelaku karhutla untuk membuka lahan dan giat pascapanen.
Kemudian, memperkuat sarana prasarana personel pengendalian karhutlah, dan melakukan aktivasi posko pengendalian karhutla di perusahaan, instansi vertikal dan masyarakat terutama pada daerah-daerah rawan karhutla.
“Kita ucap syukur atas pertolongan Tuhan YME, yang telah menjadikan musim kemarau yang cukup basah, dengan hari tanpa hujan yang cukup pendek sehingga lahan tidak cukup kering,” ungkapnya.
Disamping itu, Herman Deru mengapresiasi keberhasilan penurunan titik hotspot pada 2021 merupakan prestasi terbaik tim pengendalian karhutla yang dipimpin Korem 044 Garuda Dempo dengan dukungan instansi vertikal, OPD, Polri, serta masyarakat.
“Kemunculan hotspot pada lahan gambut telah terdeteksi sebelum musim kemarau hal ini disebabkan adanya degradasi alam. Kita harus carikan solusi permanen agar lahan gambut tidak terlalu kering sehingga tidak mudah terbakar sesuai dengan habitatnya yang bersifat lembab,” ujarnya.
Untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut, Herman Deru mengungkapkan, tim pengendalian karhutla Sumsel telah membangun sekat kanal, sumur bor, dan embung di lahan-lahan gambut yang sangat berpotensi menimbulkan karhutla.
“Kita berdoa dan berusaha agar angka karhutla dapat terus rendah atau bahkan tidak sama sekali terjadi maka butuh komitmen kerja keras dan antisipasi karhutla pada masa mendatang,” tutupnya. (sil/**)
