Intinews | XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) telah membagikan puluhan unit laptop ke pondok pesantren di beberapa area di Indonesia. Donasi ini merupakan bagian dari Program Desa Digital Nusantara yang digelar XL Axiata guna mendorong digitalisasi di pedesaan.
Pondok pesantren yang menerima donasi diharapkan bisa menjadi motor penggerak digitalisasi yang dimaksud, sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di kalangan pesantren.
Ada 39 pondok pesantren di 29 kota/kabupaten dan 7 provinsi yang menerima donasi yang telah dibagikan sejak April 2022 lalu.
“Program ini juga menunjukkan penyediaan layanan internet tercepat XL Axiata bagi pelanggan dan masyarakat,” kata Tri Wahyuningsih, Group Head Corporate Communications XL Axiata, Sabtu (2/7/2022).
Tri menambahkan, mengatakan, total pihaknya telah menyalurkan 80 unit laptop beserta yang perangkat akses internet berupa router, plus kuota data 20GB per bulan untuk satu tahun, kepada 39 pondok pesantren di 29 kota/kabupatan yang tersebar di 7 provinsi.
“Mereka juga akan mendapatkan program lanjutan berupa pelatihan sejumlah keahlian digital, antara lain cara memanfaatkan media sosial untuk promosi produk, fotografi, serta membuat konten digital yang efektif,” tambah Ayu, sapaan akrab Tri Wahyuningsih.
Seiring dengan terus meluasnya infrastruktur jaringan data 4G milik XL Axiata di seluruh Indonesia, yang sebagian di antaranya juga menjangkau area pedesaan, manajemen XL Axiata berharap bisa ikut serta mendukung masyarakat desa beradaptasi dengan digitalisasi di berbagai bidang. Terutama sektor ekonomi produktif dan sosial.
Untuk itu, XL Axiata berharap melalui donasi laptop dan akses internet ini, bisa mendorong peningkatan literasi digital masyarakat desa.
Menurut Ayu, pondok pesantren dipilih menjadi mitra penerima donasi dengan pertimbangan keberadaan mereka yang berada di tengah-tengah masyarakat pedesaan.
“Kultur pondok pesantren sangat erat dengan kehidupan masyarakat pedesaan, karena baik santri dan pengajar biasanya juga berasal dari masyarakat desa,” ujar Ayu.
Selain itu, pondok pesantren penerima donasi laptop juga berkomitmen untuk menjadi pendamping masyarakat desa sekitar pondok untuk mengadopsi teknologi digital untuk berbagai kebutuhan produktif.
“Dalam hitungan kami, ada sekitar 50 ribu orang yang secara langsung atau tidak langsung akan menerima manfaat. Mereka terdiri dari para pengasuh dan santri pondok pesantren penerima donasi, serta masyarakat pedesaan yang terlibat dalam program digitalisasi lewat masing-masing pondok pesantren,” beber Ayu.
Sebagian besar dipergunakan untuk pengembangan keahlian digital para santri, seperti antara lain pelatihan pembuatan web, editing video, dan implementasi konten digital lainnya.
Provinsi tujuan penyaluran donasi laptop adalah Sumatera Utara, Banten, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, Kalimantan Selatan, Sulawesi Selatan.

Hingga saat ini, jaringan XL Axiata tersebar di 34 provinsi. Sebagian jaringan telah menembus dan melayani masyarakat di pelosok-pelosok daerah yang terpencil dan berada di perbatasan negara. Total sebanyak lebih dari 133 ribu BTS, di antaranya 83 ribu BTS 4G, dan jaringan fiber optik sepanjang lebih dari 113 ribu kilometer, menopang kekuatan jaringan XL Axiata, untuk melayani sekitar 57 juta pelanggan di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia.
