Kartak, SAS dan Anggota Komisi III, Dedi Sipriyanto melakukan Reses III Dapil I Kota Palembang, di Kantor Balai Besar POM (BBPOM), Senin (5/12/2022).
Dalam kesempatan itu Anita mempertanyakan obat-obatan sirup yang mengandung Etilen Glikol (EG) dan Dietilen Glikol (DEG) dan penyebarannya yang di atas ambang batas sangat berbahaya bagi kesehatan anak balita yang sebenarnya sudah lama beredar, namun baru sekarang dilakukan penarikan obat.
“Kenapa obat obat yang sudah lama beredar tiba tiba ditarik dari peredaran atau dari pasaran”, ujar Anita.
Ia berkata jika obat tersebut tidak lolos uji klinik, harusnya tidak beredar. Jangan sampai pertumbuhan ekonomi yang sedang dibangun saat ini, kembali rusak akibat kejadian recall sirup dengan cemaran ED DEG.
“Saya berharap dalam pengawasan obat dan makanan agar betul betul di lakukan agar masyarakat dan pengusaha obat tidak merasa di rugikan”, lanjut Anita.
Sementara itu Kepala Balai Besar POM (BBPOM) di Palembang, Drs. Zulkifli, Apt, menyampaikan melalui hybrid saat ini belum ada regulasi yang mengatur terkait cemaran ED dan DEG yang ada didalam kandungan sirup.
“BPOM telah melakukan verifikasi terhadap 340 merk sirup yang aman untuk digunakan yang terdiri dari 168 merk sirup yang tidak menggunakan pelarut berpotensi mengandung cemaran dan 172 merk sirup yang aman berdasarkan verifikasi pengujian mandiri oleh pihak industri farmasi”, terangnya.
BBPOM sendiri juga telah melakukan edukasi secara door to door yang telah mencapai area Se-Sumatera Selatan sebanyak 555 rumah.
DPRD Provinsi Sumsel juga menyarankan kepada BBPOM untuk melakukan edukasi pemberiaan informasi di apotek-apotek serta melalui videotron yang ada di depan DPRD Prov. Sumsel mengenai daftar obat sirup yang aman dan dapat dikonsumsi masyarakat.
Turut hadir juga perwakilan dari puskesmas dan rumah sakit, distributor industri farmasi, IAI Kota Palembang, serta GP Farmasi Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. (sil)
