Intinews | Pertemuan bilateral antara Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto dengan Jake Sullivan, Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs (APNSA) Amerika Serikat, dilakukan secara tatap muka pada hari Senin tanggal 24 Oktober 2022. Pertemuan tersebut turut dihadiri oleh Menteri Perindustrian, Duta Besar RI di Washington DC dan Deputi Kerja sama Ekonomi Internasional Kemenko Perekonomian.
Pertemuan bilateral berlangsung secara akrab dan konstruktif, dengan membahas sejumlah topik antara lain mengenai dukungan AS terhadap Presidensi G20 Indonesia, inisiasi penyelenggaraan Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGII) dan tindak lanjut Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF).
“Indonesia menyambut baik dukungan AS terhadap hasil-hasil yang akan dicapai Presidensi G20 Indonesia dalam penyelenggaraan KTT G20 di Bali pada tanggal 15-16 November 2022,” ujar Menko Airlangga. Kedua negara mengharapkan outcome positif atas penyelenggaraan KTT, di tengah-tengah tantangan dinamika situasi global saat ini. “Isu ekonomi global seharusnya menjadi vocal point pada Presidensi G20 Indonesia,” timpal APNSA Sullivan.
Diskusi konstruktif juga mengiringi minat dan kepentingan kedua negara untuk bekerja sama dalam kemitraan investasi dan pembangunan infrastruktur dalam skema PGII. Sebagaimana yang telah diumumkan oleh Pemerintah AS pada bulan Juni tahun ini, AS akan menggelontorkan pendanaan yang mencapai nilai USD600 Miliar untuk pembiayaan investasi dan infrastruktur di berbagai negara.
Berbagai wacana tentang proyek transisi energi berbasis teknologi turut mewarnai pembicaraan Menko Airlangga dan APNSA Sullivan, antara lain percepatan transisi energi ramah lingkungan dan sumber-sumber potensial energi terbarukan lainnya. “Kami memandang perlunya kerjasama dalam penerapan teknologi mutakhir yang ramah lingkungan, pengembangan industri berbasis teknologi untuk mendukung transformasi digital, dan pembangunan pembangkit listrik dalam Kawasan Ekonomi Hijau,” tegas Menko Airlangga.
Sebelum menutup pertemuan, pembicaraan masih berlanjut dengan potensi kerja sama dalam isu konektivitas. “AS terbuka untuk membicarakan peningkatan kerja sama dalam perhubungan udara antara Indonesia dan AS, untuk mendukung mobilitas dan people to people connection,” ujar APNSA Sullivan.
Pertemuan tersebut juga dimanfaatkan Menko Perekonomian untuk menyampaikan potensi Indonesia dalam rantai pasok global. “Indonesia memiliki sumber daya yang berkualitas yang dibutuhkan untuk memproduksi komponen industri esensial dalam rantai pasok global,” demikian pungkas Menko Airlangga.
Menutup pertemuan, Menko Airlangga dan APNSA Sullivan sepakat untuk menugaskan pejabat masing-masing, agar segera menindaklanjuti hasil-hasil pembicaraan pada pembahasan di level teknis.
